I know you love 10/10/80 Strat, and I agree that it might be the best electric set of either of the '80 Warfield and Radio City stands. But I have to go with 10/10/68. It's likely the very best of all the Mickey and the Hartbeats gigs, eclipsing even the extraordinary jamming from 12/16/68. Plus, it's also probably the best sound quality of any Hartbeats performance. But I dig it for the cornucopia of various themes that get bandied about. Too many to mention...

Want to hear the birth of Fire on the Mountain?

Check the opening jam at about 19:25 for an unmistakable Fire on the Mountain theme. It's like the Hartbeats have entered a vortex and time traveled to 1977!

I love the New Potato Caboose Jam that takes place immediately after Look Over Yonder Wall, but the best Jam sequence of the evening is the one right after the Drums segment. It is fucking unreal!

The Jams later in the set visit both Caution and even Spanish Jam briefly. But could Weir and Pig have kept up at this performance?

Better make yourself a tin foil hat before listing to this one if you have never heard it before!
